An applicability test of an eco-friendly water treatment for the improvement of river water and source water quality

In order to develop eco-friendly water treatment technology for improving river water and source water, a long-term operation was carried out by installing an eco-friendly water treatment test bed. Two test beds were built in Pusan and Gwangju metropolitan city for efficiency evaluation. Modules with surface flow type were applied to Pusan TB (capacity: 1,000 m3/d) and modules with subsurface flow type were applied to Gwangju TB (capacity: 340 m3/d). A Gwangju TB which subsurface flow type was applied was more efficient in water treatment than a Pusan TB which surface flow type was applied.
