World Water Week in Stockholm

Hosted by SIWI, it is an international event discussing global water issues. Held since 1991, the international forum consists of seminars, workshops, awards, field tours, and social events. Over 260 water agencies from 130 countries participate in the forum. Over 2,5000 water experts, activists, and people working in the water industry exchange diverse water-related experiences, ideas, and solutions with each other.

As a leading global water event designed to resolve water problems and development issues around the world, the forum was held in 2006 with the theme of “Water for Sustainable Growth.” It focuses on exchanges of ideas and experiences among scientists, business communities, government officials, civic leaders, and experts as well as building common solutions for global water problems.

This year, over 300 water agencies from 130 countries participated in the forum and over 3,000 water experts, activists, and people in the water industry exchanged diverse water-related experiences, ideas, and solutions with each other.
