International Experts Gather for Joint Response to Repeated Droughts

K-water held the 2018 International Drought Forum from May 31 to June 1 for international discussion on droughts, which have become severe in recent years. Participants of this forum sought drought responses and countermeasures through cooperation between countries. This year, under the topic of “Seeking Ways to Overcome Worsening Droughts through International Cooperation,” 120 decision-makers of water management policies in Asia and Africa as well as experts in Korea and abroad gathered to discuss policies and technical cooperation for overcoming droughts. K-water plans to review the regularization of the forum by linking the establishment of an international cooperation base for drought joint response and the domestic water industry’s overseas advancement.
